Time to Shop, or Time to Adopt?
"Kisses" may have a home, but "Alec," "Cookie" and many others are still waiting for you at the Potter League for Animals.
The Potter League recently celebrated a milestone: Kisses, the 1,000th dog to arrive at the shelter through its “Fetching Friends” program was adopted this month. Fetching Friends is a Potter League program that brings animals from high volume/low adoption shelters in other parts of the country, and finds them a home. Kisses arrived from Spruce Pine, North Carolina, via a Cloud Nine Rescue Flight on Nov. 2, and is already home with a family for Thanksgiving.
Another dog, Cookie, a Jack Russell mix who was on the flight with Kisses, is still waiting for a home, however, as is Alec, a handsome tiger-striped cat.
Whether you already own a pet and just need to buy a new collar or leash, or are thinking a pet is just the right gift, the Potter League can help. The animal shelter on Oliphant Lane has adoptable dogs and cats, and also has a good selection of pet-related items.
