  1. Good news blues fans: Sweet Berry Farm has announced its final Tuesday night summer concert show, featuring Big Cat Blues, will go on.
  2. Sadly, Hurricane Irene has put a damper on this year’s pick-your-own-peaches.
  3. Two school supply drives are still underway at Pruitt Chiropractic Center and at Town Hall.

  5. On this day in 1967, Thurgood Marshall became the first African American Supreme Court Justice.
