Today: Gaudet Middle School Hosts Flu Shots Clinic and Planetarium Night

A look at what's happening in and around Middletown for Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011.

  1. Students, staff, faculty, parents and siblings of the Gaudet, Aquidneck and Forest Avenue Schools are invited to get flu vaccinations from 4 to 7 p.m. tonight at a clinic to be held at the Gaudet Middle School. 
  2. After getting your shots at Gaudet, shoot for the stars at Gaudet! Family Fun Night returns to the Krupowicz Planetarium for a 7 p.m. show. Be sure to get there 30 minutes before the show starts for all the pre-show activities and more family fun!
  3. The Tai Chi Outdoor Practice Group meets up every Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.
  4. If you are grieving or need support, knit your way to peace and comfort stitch by stitch. There is always time to register for a monthly Knitting Circle with Carolyn Musgrave of Knitting Needles, sponsored by Memorial Funeral Home.
  5. On this date in 1975, the first Saturday Night Live (SNL) episode aired on NBC featuring Chevy Chase, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Gilda Radner, Garrett Morris, Jane Curtin and Laraine Newman.
