  1. Does your family have what it takes to win the coveted Backyard Family Olympics Trophy? The Newport County YMCA wants to pit your family against other families for fun backyard games. Proceeds benefit the Strong Kids Campaign, a fundraiser for children and families in need. 
  2. The weekly farmers’ market returns to the Aquidneck Grange from 2 to 6 p.m.
  3. It’s Arts & Crafts Thursday at the Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge.
  4. Today’s Newport Chamber of Commerce sessions include a look at the RI Health Insurance Exchange, as well as a Women in Business Brown Bag Luncheon seminar, “Facebook for Business.
