Tuesday: 'Chowdah' Lovers, '97 MHS Grads Wanted

1. If you're a "chowdah" lover, the organizers of the 31st Annual Schweppes Great Chowder Cook-Off in Newport want you to be part of their team. The event is seeking "Chowder-Spotters" who will recruit restaurant owners and chefs by giving them an official "You've Been Chowder Spotted" card. If a "spotted" restaurant ends up competing in the 2012 Great Chowder Cook-Off, the Newport Yachting Center will recognize the appropriate Chowder-Spotter with a $100 dining certificate to the new competitor's restaurant. 2. The Aquidneck Island Clergy Association is hosting a at 6 p.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Newport. The fair will be attended by more than 25 organizations there to provide residents with more information about services available to them.

4. Were you a graduate of the Middletown High School Class of 1997? Your classmates are looking for you. The 15th reunion is currently being planned and organizers are asking '97 graduates to reach out. For more info, go .
