Two Thousand Middletown Residents Remain in the Dark

National Grid is on-scene working to restore power

According to National Grid, Hurricane Sandy left almost 6,000 Middletown customers without power.  Although many have been restored, the company reports that 2,000 remain without service.

Most of the remaining issues are related to isolated problems of downed power lines or large trees.

Across Newport County, 20,271 are still in the dark and over 100,000 customers across Rhode Island are still without power.
