This service traces it origins back to Roman times when the December celebrations of Saturnalia would provide a welcome respite from the rigors of winter. It is a ceremony that heralds the Incarnation with Christmas hymns and a procession of Mary and Joseph with the Baby Jesus, shepherds, kings and angels. The service has remained nearly the same at St. George’s throughout its 102-year history. Free and open to the public. Seating is limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive early.
