Thursday: Bestselling Author, Turbine Meeting and Gathering of Green Drinks

A look at what's happening in and around Middletown today.

  1. New York Times bestselling author William Martin will be holding a book signing at 3 p.m. at . Martin has penned novels including "Back Bay," "Cape Cod," and "Annapolis."
  2. The Middletown Wind Turbine Committee will meet at 10 a.m. at the to review the EBAC update.
  3. The will host Shakespeare lovers at their weekly meeting, “The Bard is Here,” from 5 to 6 p.m.
  4. will be hosting the November gathering of , an international organization with local meetings that brings together people who care about the environment to discuss new ideas and network. This month’s event will also include a gift swap. People are encouraged to bring an unwanted gift to swap for another item from the table.
  5. Harry Eudenbach, a local landscape architect and author of ," will give a lecture about his research for the book along with slides at the Newport Public Library at 7 p.m. The event is free, and there will be copies of the book available for purchase and signing.
