The Presidential Yacht, which served five United States Presidents, has been meticulously restored to its original state. The classic 93 foot yacht, built in 1931 by the Defoe Ship Building Company in Bay City Michigan, has returned to its former glory. Come support the Newport County Special Olympics Team on Saturday July 20, 2013. Boarding will begin at 5:30 PM then depart from Goat Island at 6:00 PM for a 2-½ hour cruise. Open Bar & Hors d'oeuvres. $225 per person. Tickets are on sale at the Newport County YMCA or call 401-847-9200 Mondays-Fridays 9AM-7PM and Saturdays 9AM-12PM. Space is very limited. This benefit will allow the Newport County Special Olympics Team to purchase much needed team uniforms, expand our bowling team, support the start up cost of 2 new teams (soccer & travel basketball).
