Avid Sports Fan, Father, Dies at 48

William C. Hogan, 48, of Glendale, NY, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens, Flushing, NY.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on March 15, 1965, he was the son of Helen (McKee) Hogan of Glendale, NY and the late Thomas Hogan.

William graduated from St. Agnes High School in NYC and received his associate’s degree from the Community College of Rhode Island.  He owned and operated a commercial cleaning company, Extra Clean Janitorial Service for many years.  William was an avid sports fan of all New York teams.  He loved hiking and camping. He always put others ahead of himself and was a devoted father. William was a member of Jesus Saviour parish.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his children, Annie-Laurie Hogan, Kathleen Hogan, William Hogan, JR., Michael Hogan, Terrence Hogan and Maureen Hogan, all of Middletown, RI; his siblings, Paul Hogan and Thomas Hogan of Middle Village, NY, Susan Mirro of Flushing, NY and Marie Mew of Florence, MA; and his former wife, Annemarie (Hook) Hogan.

Calling hours will be held on January 3, from 4 pm-8p m, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.

His funeral will be held on January 4, at 10am, in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway, Newport, RI.

Burial will be in the Middletown Four Corners Cemetery.
