Barbara Ann (Bishop) Ray, 57, of Middletown, died Monday, November 18, 2013 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.

She was the wife of the late John “Jack” T. Ray.

Born in Prince Georges County Virginia, on July 3, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Broaddus and Angela (Chagaris) Bishop.

She was great lover of animals. She was a wonderful grandmother, and loved her grandchildren dearly.

She is survived by her children, Scott Bishop and his wife Annalisa of California, Jason Bishop and his wife Kerri of Portsmouth, RI, Angela Peck and her husband Leroy of Florida and Kyle Ray and his wife Danielle of Middletown, RI, her grandchildren, Alexis Bishop, Leroy Peck III, Abigail Peck, Aliyah Peck, Chloe Ray, Rylee Ray and Brady Ray, her brothers, Eugene Bishop of Middletown, RI, Steven Bishop and his wife Patti Bishop of Middletown, RI and Paul Bishop and his wife Jackie of Seoul, Korea, and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Nicholas Bishop and Catherine Kennedy.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013, from 4-8pm, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.

Her burial will be private.
