Alleged Road Rage Incident Leads to 2 Arrests

The following arrests were reported by the Middletown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Middletown police arrested two men Thursday after they were allegedly involved in a road rage incident on East Main Road.

Police stopped a car, driven by Donald Sylvia, 47, 13 Davis, Warren, after a 44-year-old Portsmouth man called police to report someone from his car threw a cup of coffee at his vehicle.

Sylvia allegedly told police that his passenger, Jason Owens, 32, of 46 First School St., Warren, threw the coffee because they almost had an accident at the intersection of East Main Road and West Main Road, which led to a heated argument.

Owens was charged with throwing articles at moving vehicles, a misdemeanor.  Sylvia was charged with an existing warrant for failure to appear to the Sixth District Court and for driving with an expired license.
