HEALTH Recommends Closing of Atlantic Beach Club Beach in Middletown
The following is a press release sent by the Director of Public Health
The Department of Health (HEALTH) recommends the closure of Atlantic Beach Club Beach in Middletown to swimming due to high bacteria counts. Officials will continue to monitor the water quality and recommend re-opening when the areas are safe for swimming. Water quality analysis is conducted by the HEALTH laboratory or a state certified laboratory.
PLEASE NOTE: Beach status may change on a daily basis. For up to date information about swimming at Rhode Island beaches, go to the HEALTH website at www.health.ri.gov/beaches or for recorded information about Rhode Island bathing beaches, call (401) 222-2751.
