Her Mother's Day Gift Just Wasn't Good Enough

All She Got Were Cookies...A Newport woman was arrested earlier this week after reportedly  about what he gave her for Mother's Day. Police were called to the residence for a report of a possible domestic assault and when they arrived, the 22-year-old woman told police she'd got into the argument because it was Mother's Day and all she got were cookies. Police ran the woman's name through dispatch and found she had an active warrant for failure to appear in court with ability to pay. She was arrested and brought to the police station.

That's a Lot of Candy...A South Kingstown teen was confronted by police last week after high school staff . According tot he police log, around $100 worth of candy and drinks were stolen from the athletic booster closet. Police pursued several leads and found several of the stolen items in the 15-year-old's backpack. The teen admitted to the multiple thefts, but said he didn't act alone. Police are following up on the matter.

Get With Someone Your Own Age...A 20-year-old Woonsocket man was arrested recently for felony third degree sexual assault after . The man told police that he needed to come clean and stop cheating on his girlfriend, who is 17.

Give Me Back My Pizza...An East Greenwich man was arrested recently after he  because he said one of them took his Domino's pizza. The 43-year-old man was charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and one court of disorderly conduct. According to police, the man entered one of the other resident's rooms and accused him of taking the pizza, which had been in a community refrigerator. The man then went back to his own room, grabbed a steak knife and returned. Another man who lives in the building tried to stop the confrontation, but all three were ultimately cut in the struggle. Police said this was not the first time the 43-year-old had used a knife after becoming upset. He was taken to the ACI.

Oil is Expensive, But...A Jamestown man was arrested in Portsmouth this week after  he was renting in town. Police say the 43-year-old ordered two oil deliveries for his residence under a fictitious name, then never paid the bill after moving out in April. He was charged with two counts of obtaining goods under false pretenses.
