Man Allegedly Damages Woman's Phone

The following arrests were reported by the Middletown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Police arrested a Middletown man Monday after he allegedly became involved in an argument with a 19-year-old Middletown woman. 

Andrew Joseph Ripa, 21, of 1 Jude St., Middletown, was arrested at 11:10 p.m. and charged with the following: domestic, larceny under $500; domestic, disorderly conduct; and domestic, vandalism and malicious injury to property. 

Police were called to a Honeyman Avenue residence for a report of a man banging on a door and refusing to leave.

According to police reports, Ripa apparently became involved in an argument with the woman at the residence. During the argument, he allegedly took the woman's cell phone and refused to give it back. 

When police found Ripa outside the residence, he no longer had the cell phone. The phone was later found damaged in a front yard.
