Middletown Arrests: Domestic Assault, DUI

The following information is based on Middletown Police Department arrest reports and does not indicate any convictions.

Scott Miller, of 393 E. Main Road, was arrested on Wednesday, April 18, at approximately 8:20 a.m. on a domestic assault charge.

said the 28-year-old man attempted to wake up his girlfriend around 7 a.m.  According to police reports, she became upset and threw items around the room. Miller told police that he was unsure how to calm her down, so he slapped her across the face.

His girlfriend told police that he slapped her multiple times in attempt to wake her for work and pushed her up against a wall after she repeatedly asked him to leave her alone.  

Miller was then handcuffed and transported to the Middletown Police Headquarters and processed without incident.  

Kristen Platt, of 32 Saratoga Ave, Pawtucket, was arrested on Wednesday around 1:23 p.m. on a driving under the influence charge.  The 50-year-old woman was also cited for refusal to submit to a chemical test.

Police responded to an accident that occurred at the intersection of East Main Road and Meadow Lane. Officers reported they smelled alcohol on Platt’s breath and asked how much she had to drink. She reportedly said she had “4 nips” of Smirnoff 100 proof root beer vodka in the parking lot of the beach.

She was arrested after failing the field sobriety tests.  

Bench Warrants

Courtney Antonelli, 29,. of 393 E. Main Road, was arrested on Wednesday, April 18, around 7:48 a.m. on a bench warrant issued from the Third District Court.  

Matthew Brown, 18, of 69 Perreault St, Portsmouth, was arrested on Thursday, April 19, at 9:45 a.m. on a bench warrant issued from the Second District Court.

Evan Edmonds, 24, of 121 Fir Ave., Tiverton was arrested on Thursday, April 19, at 11:45 a.m. on a bench warrant issued from the Second District Court.

Kevin Kilroy, 56, of 182 Blvd., was arrested on Thursday, April 19, at 12:45 p.m. on a bench warrant issued from the Second District Court.
