Middletown Arrests: Weapons, DUI, Disorderly Conduct

The following arrests were reported by the Middletown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

David Medsker, 53, of 56 Brandon Rd., Cranston was arrested on Saturday morning around 2:04 on a second offense DUI charge of .10-.15.

Police pulled Medsker over after he allegedly drove past a cruiser at a high rate of speed, honked his horn and a passenger yelled out the window.   Police said Medsker denied drinking alcohol that night, but said he smelled of alcohol, his face was flushed, his speech was slurred and his eyes were bloodshot.

Police said when he started the walk and turn test, police asked Medsker why he was not counting.  He allegedly replied that it was because he was counting in his head.   He then counted aloud and missed heel to toe in every step, said police   He failed the rest of the field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest.

At the station, Medsker blew a .112 and a .118, said police.

Christopher Larose, 24, of North Providence was arrested on Saturday morning around 2:10 a.m.  after police found marijuana and weapons in his car. Police initially pulled over Larose because his car was registered to a different vehicle than what he was driving.
