Middletown PD Sets Up Prescription Collection Box

The Middletown Police Department has installed a prescription medication collection box in the lobby of the police station to collect expired and unneeded drugs.

The box is available every day, 24-hour a day for any resident who has unused or expired prescription medication.

Police said the collection box is simple to use. The items are placed in the drawer of the unit and when the drawer is closed the items drop inside the steel collection box. The items will be collected and then destroyed in accordance with MPD policy.
