Narragansett Woman Charged with Marijuana Possession

Megan Corinne Polino, 20, of 35 Earles Ct., Narragansett, was arrested around 1:08 a.m. Monday on a misdemeanor first offense charge of marijuana possession. According to the arrest report, police stopped the car she was driving on West Main Road for a faulty headlight. The officer at the scene reported seeing in the car door a grinder commonly used with marijuana and upon further questioning, the suspect allegedly led police to two roach joints, several small bags and a glass pipe in her purse.

Providence Man Arrested on Warrant After Police Tipped Off

Nicholas William Doyle, 25, of 66 Julian St., Providence, was arrested on a misdemeanor arrest warrant issued from the Sixth District Court in Providence just after midnight early Sunday. According to the arrest report, police were called to the area of the East Bay Village apartments after receiving information that Doyle might be there.

North Kingstown Man Charged with DUI

Joseph Francis Haley, 51, of 100 Old Mill Lane, North Kingstown, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of alcohol around 1 a.m. Sunday. According to the arrest report, police stopped his car on East Main Road south of Two-Mile Corner after observing the car swerve. Police at the scene reported observing bloodshot eyes and slurred speech and conducted a field sobriety test. He was also cited for allegedly refusing to submit to a chemical test to measure blood-alcohol concentration and for speeding in excess of 23 mph.

Lack of Registration Sticker Leads to Arrest of North Kingstown Man

David Michael Garnett, 37, of 15 Woodlawn Drive., North Kingstown, was arrested on a warrant issued, driving on a suspended license and obstructing justice around 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon. According to the arrest report, police stopped a motorcycle he was operating for a registration sticker violation. During questioning, Garnett allegedly provided a false name initially before admitting his real identity after multiple requests, police reported. An outstanding arrest warrant issued from the North Kingstown Police Department also was confirmed, police reported.

Fall River Man Arrested on Providence Court Warrant

Nuno J. Carvalho, 36, of 344 Cambridge St., Fall River, MA, was arrested around 10:41 p.m. Sunday night on a misdemeanor arrest warrant issued from the Sixth District Court in Providence. According to the arrest report, a police officer ran a routine check on Carvalho after observing his car parked in the Third Beach boat ramp parking lot at the late hour of night.

Barrington Man Arrested for Carrying Knife

Gerard Seth Fournier, 23, of 53 Annawamscutt Road, Apt. A, Barrington, was arrested around 1:33 a.m. Saturday on a misdemeanor charge of carrying a concealed knife with a blade nearly four inches in length. State law prohibits blades longer than three inches. According to the arrest report, police were called to Rosedale Court to investigate reports of underage drinking when they encountered Fournier walking away from the scene and he approached the police cruiser. After police told him to step away, he allegedly did not and police searched him, turning up the knife. After processing, he was released and ordered to appear at the Second District Court on June 24.
