Middletown Police Log: Arrests for DUI, Suspended Licenses
The following information is based on Middletown Police Department arrest reports and does not indicate any convictions.
A Newport and a Middletown man were arrested during a traffic stop on Boulevard in Middletown on Monday. According to the police report, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Jan. 9, Jerry J. Warnick, 47, of 152 Broadway, Newport, was arrested for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license, and Richard P. Marley, 44, of 129 Boulevard, was arrested for consumption of alcohol on streets.
According to the police report, an officer observed Warnick’s car traveling at 48 mph on West Main Road in a 25 mph area. The officer reportedly observed Warnick’s vehicle turn onto Boulevard and come to a stop on a front lawn and driveway on Boulevard. When talking to Warnick, the officer reportedly smelled alcohol and performed a field sobriety test. Another officer reportedly found open beer and liquor bottles that Marley, a passenger in Warnick’s car, allegedly said belonged to Marley.

Jessica A. Johnson, 25, of 21351 Clearwater Ct., Ashburn, VA, was arrested at approximately 11:45 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10, for driving under the influence. According to the police reports, an officer noticed Johnson’s car parked in the Frosty Freez lot on East Main Rd. When the officer approached the car, Johnson allegedly drove forward nearly running over the officer’s foot. After reportedly smelling alcohol on Johnson’s breath, the officer conducted a field sobriety test and transported her to the police station, where a chemical test recorded a .197 blood alcohol level.

William Henry Stickle, 51, of 48 Skidmore Trail, Hopatcong, NJ, was arrested at approximately 11:45 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10, for driving with a suspended license, and for having an active bench warrant. According to the police report, an officer stopped the car Stickle was driving because a taillight was out. Stickle allegedly handed the officer his wife’s driver’s license and allegedly said he did not have his license on him. Through a check with dispatch, the officer found a suspended license and active warrant.
Bench Warrant Arrest for Passenger
Alyse Marie Francis, 23, was arrested at approximately 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10, for an active bench warrant. According to the police report, Francis was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for having no brake lights. When the officer ran a check on the driver and passengers, the warrant was discovered.
