Middletown Police Log: Arrests Reported From Marijuana Possession, MHS Students' Fight

Marijuana Possession

Carlos Viveiros, 35, of 345 Warren St., Apt. 1, Fall River, MA, was arrested around 1:47 a.m. Wednesday on a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession.

According to the arrest report, Middletown police stopped the car he was driving on Coddington Highway due to a faulty rear brake light. During questioning, a police officer allegedly observed rolling papers inside the car and the driver informed the officers that he had smoked a marijuana joint one day earlier in the car and then handed over its remains. As a search of the car ensued, Viveiros also turned over a bag of marijuana from a door compartment.

Three students suspended, two charged with disorderly conduct

Two female students were arrested around 2:23 p.m. Monday afternoon on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct after police were called to the school for a fight.

According to the arrest report, the incident occurred in the girl’s gym locker room after one of the suspects had begun yelling at another student. Two other female students intervened to stick up for the student, when a physical fight allegedly broke out between the suspect and one of the intervening students. The two students involved in the physical altercation were questioned by school and police authorities before they were arrested.

Both students who were arrested also received school suspensions, along with the third female student who had also intervened.
