Assault, Vandalism and Marijuana Charges Arise From Domestic Dispute

Roy William Naisbitt, 30, of 34 Warren Ave., Apt. B, Middletown, was arrested around 12:30 a.m. Monday on charges of domestic simple assault, domestic vandalism, and domestic larceny of an item under $500.

According to the arrest report, a 30-year-old Middletown woman alleged that Naisbitt woke her up angrily in the middle of the night after he went through her phone records, then began to throw things around and break things, including a fan and framed picture. The woman also alleged that he pushed her down to prevent her from leaving, took her phone battery with him and left. When Middletown police located Naisbitt on Fenner Avenue, they found the phone battery on him, police reported.

The woman was later arrested and charged with marijuana possession. According to the arrest report, police observed a plastic bag with marijuana in plain view on the kitchen table, along with a marijuana grinder, as they sat down to do paperwork.

Thomas Edward Evans, III, 20, of 372 Purgatory Road, Middletown, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. Monday on a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession.

According to the arrest report, Middletown police were doing a routine check of the Purgatory Chasm parking lot when they noticed a gray Toyota parked. The patrol officer saw a bag containing a green leafy substance inside in a door pocket.

After Evans and a woman returned to the car and police questioned them, Evans allegedly told police the marijuana, along with a small glass container and brown wood box container, were his.
