Middletown Police Log: Disorderly Conduct, Marijuana Possession Arrests Reported

Disorderly Conduct

Two 14-year-oldstudents were arrested around 12 p.m. Thursday on misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges.

According to the arrest reports, police were called to Middletown High School just before noon on Thursday for a fight between two male students that ended with them wrestling on the ground before faculty broke up the fight. Police reported that the altercation occurred when one sat down at the lunch table and the two began a heated exchange over a disagreement that had occurred several days earlier.

Both students were processed at the Middletown Police Station and charged with disorderly conduct.

arrested the driver and a passenger of a van on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges following a motor vehicle stop that took place on West Main Road around 1:56 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

According to the arrest report, a patrol officer stopped a white van on West Main Road due to an expired registration sticker and also observed three occupants not wearing seat belts. While questioning the driver, the officer detected the odor of marijuana in the car and the driver allegedly told police he had smoked earlier.

After a second police officer arrived on scene, the driver and two passengers were asked to leave the vehicle as a search was conducted. The search allegedly turned up a partially smoked marijuana cigarette in the ash tray and two black bags containing marijuana and marijuana glass pipes that the driver and one passenger claimed were theirs.

The driver and one passenger were charged as follows:

Driver Sean Michael Segerson, 34, of 4 Beacon Court, Newport, was charged with a misdemeanor first offense charge of marijuana possession.

Passenger Nathan A. Desack, 33, of 116 Ruggles Ave., Newport, was arrested on a misdemeanor first offense charge of marijuana possession.
