Middletown Police Log: Man Arrested After Allegedly Threatening Woman

Robert Joseph Lewis, 45, of 476B Green End Avenue, Middletown, was arrested at approximately 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28, on a charge of domestic-disorderly conduct.

According to the police report, a 38-year-old Middletown woman called police saying she feared for her life. When officers arrived at the residence, the woman reportedly said Lewis, the father of the infant she was holding, screamed at her and threatened to kill her. Lewis reportedly was packing his clothing into trash bags when the officers arrived. He allegedly told officer he became angry and began screaming when he found text messages from other men on the woman’s phone. Lewis was charged with domestic-disorderly conduct.

Woman Arrested for No-Contact Violation

Melissa Sue Anne Castle, 29, of 54 Silva Ave., Portsmouth, was arrested at approximately 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28, for violating a no-contact order. According to the police report, Castle had violated a no-contact order on Dec. 14, when she visited a Middletown residence. Middletown police picked up Castle from the Portsmouth police station after being notified she was there.
