Middletown Police Logs: Driving Without Consent, Resisting Arrest

Gregory Burcz of 13 Easton Terrace, was arrested on Thursday, March 29, at 3:32 p.m. on a felony driving without consent of owner charge. The 42-year-old was also charged with resisting arrest.
reported they arrived at Burcz’s residence to arrest him for a warrant service.
While transporting Burcz to the station, he was allegedly trying to kick out the door of the cruiser and the back window. Police reported they stopped the vehicle, took Burcz out of the car, and handcuffed him.
Back in the car, Greg was allegedly able to undo his belt and get his hands free. In the station, Burcz allegedly banged his head on the walls and benches and said he had just swallowed a gram of heroin.
Police called the to transport him to Newport Hospital.
Police were called back to 13 Easton Terrace later that evening. Stephanie Sawicki of Middletown was arrested on 5:07 p.m. on a misdemeanor willful trespass charge.
The property owner called police she had told Sawicki to stay away from the property. Police arrested Sawicki without incident.
