Middletown Woman Hospitalized After Domestic Assault

A 25-year-old woman was hospitalized following an argument with her boyfriend last week.

Sean C. Voogt, 26, of 16 Woolsey Road Apt. B, Middltown, was arrested on Tuesday, May 21 at 6:10 p.m. and charged with domestic simple assault, a misdemeanor, after he injured his girlfriends wrist during an argument. The couple's two children, a 4-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl were present during the argument.

Voogt was arraigned by a justice of the peace later that night and released on $1,000 personal recognizance and release on a Second Division District Court summons.

Fall River Woman Arrested on Warrant

Kristine M. Gonzalez, 26, of 186 Division St. Apt. 3, Fall River, MA, was arrested on Monday, May 20 at 9:15 p.m. on a bench warrant from Second Division District Court for failure to appear for a sentencing.

Gonzalez was arraigned by a justice of the peace and released later that night.

Newport Man Charged with Felony Drug Possession, Theft

Benjamin Lee James, 26, of 6 Narragansett Ave., Newport, was arrested on Monday, May 20 at 2:21 p.m. and charged with larceny of less than $1,500 and felony drug possession. James allegedly stole 10 vicodin pills from a local residence where he was employed doing general maintenance and odd jobs.

James was arraigned in Second Division District the following day and released on $2,000 bail with surety.
