- Matthew McColgan, 30, of 23 N Underwood St., Fall River, was arrested on Sunday around 8:38 p.m. on a first offense possession of marijuana charge and a bench warrant. Middletown Police said he was recognized while driving on East Main Road.
Timothy Sousa, 26, of 6 Osage Dr. was arrested for a first offense possession of marijuana charge after police pulled him over for traveling 35 mph on West Main Road, which is a posted a 25 mph zone.
Darren Staples, 38, of 25 Buck Rd. was arrested on Friday around 1:57 a.m. on a driving under the influence charge after police said he was swerving down West Main Road. Staples was also cited with a refusal to submit to a chemical test.
Jessy Martinez, 24, of 27 Sunset Blvd., Newport was arrested on Saturday around 10:47 a.m. on a bench warrant charge after police stopped a car because the driver was not wearing her seat-belt. A check on Martinez revealed the active warrant.
Jermaine Brewster, 29, of 7 Roy Ave., was arrested on Saturday around 5:49 p.m. on a bench warrant charge. Police said they responded to Kentucky Fried Chicken, where Brewster was working. Police said he failed to appear and pay for a previous arrest in Newport where he was charged with obstruction of an officer and domestic assault.
Jose Martinez, 24, of 119 Whitehall St., Providence, was arrested on Friday at 9:25 p.m. on two active bench warrants and for driving with a suspended license.
Michael Garcia, of 35 Bellview Ave., Tiverton was arrested on Friday around 6:40 a.m. on an active bench warrant.
Randall Rua, 25, of 11 Buck Rd. was arrested on Friday around 6:18 p.m. on a fugitive from justice charge. The warrant was for violating an abuse prevention order and the threat to commit a crime. He was found as an employee at Chili’s Restaurant on West Main Road.
