MPD Make One DUI Arrest This Weekend
The following incident was reported by the Middletown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Kevin Dickson, of 18 Pennsylvania Ave., Warren, was arrested on Saturday Feb 16 around 1:34 a.m. on charges of driving under the influence with a BAC of .10-.15. Middletown police said they pulled Dickson over on West Main Road for driving 50 mph in a 35 mph zone. Police said he showed signs of intoxication such as bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and smelled of alcohol. Dickson allegedly told police he had a few beers in Newport.
He failed the field sobriety tests and was taken into the Middletown Police Department. At the station, he registered a blood alcohol content of .135 and .137 between 2:19 a.m. and 2:21 a.m., said police. He was also cited for speeding and a violation for swerving across the travel lanes.
