MPD Make Three DUI Arrests within One Hour
The following arrests were reported by the Middletown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Middletown Police made three DUI arrests on Saturday, Jan. 5.
- Joshua Stlaurent, 20, of 180 Main St. Bridgewater, Mass., was arrested on charges of driving under the influence. He was also cited for refusal to submit to a chemical test. Stlaurent was initially pulled over at around 1:25 a.m. because police said he was driving 41 mph on Aquidneck Avenue, which is a 25 mph zone.
- Daniel Sylvester, 43, of 13 Livingston Pl. was arrested around 1:45 a.m on charges of driving under the influence. He was also cited for refusal to submit to a chemical test. Police observed Sylvester drive through the drive-thru at CVS multiple times, once the wrong way. He was found in the lower lot of the Howard Johnson hotel.
- Peter Tasca, 21, of 63 Perry St., Newport, was arrested around 2:06 a.m. on charges of driving under the influence. He was also cited with refusal to submit to a chemical test, speeding, operating left of center, operating without evidence of insurance and failure to surrender registration.
