MPD: Two Arrests After Noise Complaint

The following arrests were reported by the Middletown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Police made two arrests on Monday night after they responded to 196 Greene Lane for a noise complaint.  The caller told dispatch that a male by the name of Maxie Abeyllez was inside the apartment and had an affidavit warrant from Middletown Police.

When police responded, a female answered and said she was alone and denied that there was noise coming from her apartment.  Police went to speak to the original caller who confirmed Abeyllez was still inside.

Police returned to the woman’s door and she let the officers inside.  Police found Tyrone Smith, 38, of 33 Park Holm, Newport at the computer and a routine check found he had an active bench warrant.

Police also found Maxie Abeyllez of 196 Greene Lane in the apartment. He was arrested on outstanding charges of domestic assault and domestic vandalism.
