Police Ask Motorists to Avoid PMC Route
The annual PMC challenge will take place from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. today. Police ask motorists to avoid the area if possible.
The requests that motorists avoid the route of the , (PMC) Kids Bicycle Fundraiser between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. this morning.
The event will attract a large groups of bicyclists, including children riders. Come out and cheer on the cyclists!

When the event begins, the cyclists will exit the sticker sales gate and head east towards Sachuest Point on Sachuest Point Road. The cyclists will turn around in the parking lot of the Sachuest Point Wildlife Refuge and head west.
At the intersection of Sachuest Point Road and the Third Beach Access road the cyclists will make a right and follow Third Beach Road to the intersection of Third Beach Rd/Indian Ave/Hanging Rock Rd.

The cyclists will then turn right and head north on Indian Avenue. They will then make a left turn onto Green End Avenue and head west. At the intersection of Green End Avenue/Third Beach Road the cyclists will make a left turn, heading south, and follow Third Beach Road to its intersection with Hanging Rock Road.
The cyclists will then turn right onto Hanging Rock Road. The cyclists will then turn left onto Sachuest Point Road and back into the Second Beach Parking Lot.
A smaller ride around Gardiner Pond, 1.9 miles, is available for younger cyclists. This is in addition to the longer ride, which is 7.2 miles in length.
Police officers will be posted at the intersections to direct traffic.
