Weekend Arrests: Disorderly Conduct at DMV, Leaving the Scene of an Accident

The following arrests were reported by the Middletown Police Department. Arrests do not imply a conviction.


Nicholas King, of 1474 Wapping Rd, was arrested on Sunday around 1:30 p.m. after he was involved in an accident and allegedly left the scene. The 26-year-old was charged with driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain proper control of a vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident.

According to police reports, King left a party around 2:15 s.m. the previous night. He reportedly swerved to avoid an animal, lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole. His car reportedly stopped on a stone wall in front of 811 Mitchells Ln. King told police that he walked home and went to sleep.  

The said after several attempts to locate King, he responded to the headquarters at 12:45 p.m. and was arrested without incident.  

Nicholas Donegan, 34, of 30 Edgar Ct, Newport, was arrested on Friday at 12:17 p.m. on disorderly conduct charges at the DMV. Donegan allegedly yelled and cursed at the employees, because he said he had been waiting too long.  

Sean Kirley, 42, of Niagara St., was arrested on Friday at 1:50 a.m. on charges of domestic vandalism. According to police reports, Kirley suffers from post traumatic stress syndrome. His wife told police he had not taken his medication for two weeks.  

She told police after a verbal argument, he broke items in the house and ran after her and her daughter while they were getting into their car. Kirley allegedly struck one of the windows with a screwdriver, but did not damage the window.  

Kirley was arrested again that day, around 5:30 p.m. on violation of a no contact order. Kirley allegedly violated the order when he texted his wife that she had stolen his property.  

Kenneth Jenkins, of 1 Admiralty Dr., was arrested on Sunday afternoon at about 3 pm. on a bench warrant after police pulled Jenkins over for allegedly speeding on Aquidneck Ave.

Marlo Salgado, 21, of 78 Beacon St., was arrested on Saturday night at about 11:30 on an active bench warrant after police responded to a loud party and report of fireworks at his home.
