The following arrests were reported by the Middletown Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Man Calls Police After Being Thrown Out of Bar

Andrew Licha, 24, of 71 East Ter., Portsmouth was arrested on Saturday around 5:05 p.m. on disorderly conduct charges after he reportedly dialed 911 with the complaint that customers threw him out of the Atlantic Beach Club.

An officer on detail at the bar said he escorted Licha outside after he was involved with a fight with other customers.  He allegedly cursed and struggled until the officer lifted Licha off the ground to carry him outside.  

When officers arrived in response to the 911 call, Police said Licha ran toward the officer and demanded that he “did his job,” and escort him back into the bar and arrest the people who had thrown him out.  

Licha ran raised his arms and screamed “I want justice,” said Police.  Police said after multiple attempt to convince him to leave, Police arrested Licha for disorderly conduct.

Keith Arrsheim, 29, of 45 Main St., Wareham, Mass., was arrested on Sunday around 1:17 a.m. on charges of driving under the influence.  Police reported Arrsheim was speeding and driving erratically. Other vehicles had to slow down and move to avoid being struck, said Police.

Arresheim told Police he was driving erratically because he had lost his friend at the Rhino Bar in Newport and was looking for her.  Police reported he smelled of alcohol and described his speech as “thick-tongued.”

He failed the field sobriety tests and was taken into custody.   A breathalyzer returned a blood alcohol content of .162 and .159.  He was also cited for spinning his tires, over taking on right and for not using his turn signal.

  • Gentry Wright, 23, of 420 West Ave., Pawtucket was arrested on Friday around 8:28 p.m. on an active bench warrant.  
  • Samantha Baker, 25, of 75 Park Holm, Newport, was arrested on Friday around 12:41 p.m. on an active bench warrant for a simple assault charge.
