Woman Allegedly Makes Scene in Restaurant Over Meal

The following arrest was reported by the Middletown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

A Newport woman was arrested from Aquidneck Pizza in Middletown Sunday around 1:10 a.m. after she allegedly caused a scene about her meal.

Rhonda Rego, 52, of 18 Edgar Ct. Apt #B, Newport, was charged with disorderly conduct. 

An employee said when her order was brought over, Rego allegedly began swearing and throwing silverware around about how it was prepared. Another customer asked Rego to quiet down, but she allegedly continued to yell and swear.

Police said when they arrived on-scene, Rego was apologetic and appeared drunk.
