A sewer project on Aquidneck Avenue is scheduled to begin next week. A meeting to answer questions is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 5 at the Middletown Town Hall Council Chambers.
Town Engineer Warren Hall, Public Works Director Tom O’Loughlin and the project contractor CB Utility Company will be there to answer questions and address concerns about how the project may impact residents.
This project will start Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013 and will progress in an orderly manner south from the intersection with East Main Road along Aquidneck Avenue to the entrance to Gaudet School.
Work will be performed at night and consist of four 10 hour shifts between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. This schedule will leave Aquidneck Avenue free of construction on Thursday beginning at 5 a.m. through Sunday until 7 p.m. It is estimated 60 days will be required to complete the scope of work.
During working hours traffic will be limited to one way only; this will be determined by the Middletown Police who will be responsible for the flow of traffic.
If you have any questions, please contact Warren Hall, Town Engineer at 401-418-0413.
