No Questions Asked: Prescription Drug Drop-Off Event

The Middletown Substance Abuse and Prevention Task Force and Middletown Police Department are working together to hold a Prescription Drug Drop-Off Day on Saturday, April 30, 2011.

Turn in your used or expired medication for safe disposal as part of a nationwide effort to eliminate unused medications before they fall into the wrong hands.

The Police will accept medications prescribed for humans as well as veterinary medications that had been prescribed for farm animals and pets.

Help pass the word to friends, family members and colleagues so that they can also take advantage of this event.

Additionally, the Middletown Substance Abuse Substance Abuse Task Force has teamed up with the Middletown Police Dept and CVS Pharmcy to hold a special informative presentation to Middletown senior citizens in advance about this event. The informational session will take place at the Middletown Senior Center on Thursday, April 28.

Officials discourage individuals from flushing medications so that they do not infiltrate the local water supply and ecosystem.
