POSTPONED from Feb. 1: What to Do With the Navy's Surplus Land?

Aquidneck Island residents will have an opportunity to shape the future of Naval Station Newport's 225 acres of surplus land at a public meeting sponsored by the Aquidneck Island Reuse Planning Authority (AIRPA).  AIRPA representatives will answer questions about the reuse planning process, and they are eager to hear what ideas the public has for the surplus properties.   This plan is due to be submitted to the Department of Defense and the Department of Housing and Urban Development in August 2011.
