Potter League Has Full House This Month, Welcomes World-Famous Trainer [Video]

All the latest news, events, and pets at the Potter League for Animals for the month of August.

A busy summer continues

There has been no summer vacation at the . The animal shelter has been bustling with adoptions, new incoming animals, reconnections between lost pets and their owners, and some exciting upcoming events.

What's more, the Potter League still has a full house of animals in their care.

Even after 125 animals found new homes last month alone, the shelter still has 106 cats, 22 dogs, and 10 other small animals in their care.

The good news for anyone looking to add a furry friend to your home is that right now there are many choices to find a great match to suit your family.

Meet a world-famous dog trainer this month!

If you happen to already have a pet, specifically a canine, or even if you are just thinking about getting one, you won’t want to miss the upcoming lecture “Building Great Behavior through a Better Relationship with Your Dog.” World-renowned dog trainer Brian Kilcommons will make his second appearance at the Potter League on Aug.15 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Kilcommons has trained more than 35,000 dogs and co-authored nine books on the subject. In this demonstrative presentation, Kilcommons will discuss using the pillars of communication with your dog, the importance of consistency, and more methods of training a dog to behave how you want and show you how to do it. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the front desk of the Potter League.
