RITBA Warns of Phishing Scam

The e-mail includes a link that appears to lead to a site that attempts to collect personal information.

The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority is warning people about a phishing scam involving an e-mail being sent to customers warning them about being "in arrears for driving on a toll road."

The e-mail is circulating with the E-ZPass logo and states that "you have not paid for driving on a toll road. This invoice is sent repeatedly. please service your debt in the shortest possible time."

The e-mail includes a link that appears to lead to a site that attempts to collect personal information.

RITBA is advising people to delete the message without opening, responding or even downloading it. If you have any questions, visit the customer center at www.ezpassritba.com or call 1-877-743-9727.

af, let’s see how far you can take your comments off the beaten path of truth. since your personal life is a mess which I along with most others do not care about perhaps you can move back to topic allowing all to be informed of a truth that residents actually care about called increased taxes and fees resulting from your actions.

How does CR square it with her own organization (PCC) that was against the tolls? Starting to sound like a hypocrite, CR. Better check with Larry about your marching orders.
