- Roadwork is scheduled to begin today in Middletown on Valley Road between Griffin Road and Goldenrod Drive as part of the two-year stormwater and roads improvement project made possible through a bond referendum passed by voters last year.
- At 6 p.m. tonight, the Alliance for Livable Newport presents a public forum on the SSV Oliver Hazard Perry, RI's first Education at Sea school ship: SSV Oliver Hazard Perry. OHPRI's mission is to offer students experiential education on tall ship sail training, marine trade workforce development, as well as marine conservation and environmental stewardship.
