Wednesday: Middletown Comprehensive Plan Meeting and Puppy Playgroup

A look at what's happening in and around Middletown today.

  1. The Middletown Comprehensive Plan Update Committee will meet today at 5 p.m. in the second- floor conference room at to review the housing element and discuss affordable housing.
  2. The holds a small breed doggy playgroup every Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. Dogs of all ages up to 25 pounds are welcome. The cost is $7 per class and families can bring up to two dogs.
  3. The Mercy Center for Spiritual Life at will celebrate the tonight at 7 p.m. in Ochre Court. This is an interfaith celebration featuring “songs, prayers and dances for peace.” The event is free and open to the public.
  4. George Clooney’s new movie, "The Descendents," is now playing at and will be showing through Dec.r 22. For showtimes go to www.janepickens.com.
  5. The Chess Group will meet this and every Wednesday from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
