Wednesday: Once Upon a Halloween and Food & Farming Community Forum
A look at what's happening in and around Middletown today.
- The Middletown Library will host Once Upon a Halloween with Diane Edgecomb for children ages 5 and up at 3:30 p.m. The program will feature old and new Halloween stories and a bubbling cauldron. Pick up free tickets in the Children’s Department or reserve them by calling 846-1573.
- The will hold its annual Card Party today at 1:30 p.m. Seniors can reserve a table of two or four and bring friends and family to this “infamous” event. Cost is $6 per person, and wine, tea, coffee and desserts are included.
- The Middletown Planning Board will meet at 4:30 p.m. at Town Hall to discuss the proposed projects for submission with the town’s state Transportation Improvement Program and to ensure that the projects are consistent with the Middletown Comprehensive Community Plan.
- The Middletown Comprehensive Community Plan Update Committee will meet at 5 p.m. at Town Hall to discuss housing and an affordable housing action plan.
- Join the chief of agriculture for the RI DEM, owner of Aquidneck Honey, executive director of Aquidneck Land Trust, and an agricultural writer for the from 6 to 9 p.m. at CCRI. This event is free and open to the public.
