Citizens Bank Conducts School Supply Drive to Help Middletown Students

As part of the 'Gear for Grades' program, Citizens Bank will donate backpacks filled with school supplies to children served by Child and Family Services in Middletown.

This summer, has partnered with 92 PRO-FM, Resources for Rhode Island Education and Coast to Coast Promotional Products to collect back-to-school supplies for local children.

Through Aug. 6, bank customers are invited to donate new pencils, pens, notebooks and other school supplies at any Citizens Bank branch in Rhode Island.

In Middletown, is among the local beneficiaries to receive backpacks for their youth under the program, the company announcement stated.

The collection is part of 'Gear for Grades,' a school supply drive to outfit more than 6,000 children in Rhode Island with a new backpack filled with essential school supplies.

This year, Citizens Bank aims to distribute more than 27,000 backpacks filled with new school supplies to children, according to the company announcement.
