The Middletown Historical Society 2011 Speaker Series continues, with Robert Cvornyek on "Black Baseball in Rhode Island – Race andSport: the Integration of Baseball in Rhode Island”.Mr. Cvornyek is a Professor of History at Rhode Island College, where he specializes in SportHistory. He is the curator of a traveling exhibit titled "Black Grays and Colored Giants: Black Baseball inRhode Island" and is co-director of the program "It Don't Mean a Thing If It Ain't Got that Swing: BlackBaseball and Jazz."
