Tuesday: Middletown Beach Commission Meeting and 'Guiding Good Choices'

A look at what's happening in and around Middletown today.

  1. Storytime with Miss Lynn at will feature "Five Little Monkeys Reading in Bed," by Eileen Christelow, along with monkey themed crafts starting at 10:30 a.m.
  2. The Middletown Beach Commission will meet at 4:30 p.m. in the meeting room. Items on the agenda include reviewing the proposed Sachuest Beach building and the 2012 project List.
  3. The Middletown Substance Abuse Task Force and Gaudet School PTG will present the last program in their series called for parents of children in Grades 4 to 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the . Dinner will be provided, and there will be free childcare for children ages 4 and older. Please RSVP to Keller DiLuglio 845-0409.
  4. Memorial Funeral Home will sponsor , a support group led by Carolyn Musgrave of Knitting Needles, from 6 to 7 p.m. at 30 Red Cross Ave.
  5. Newport Cooks! will host a holiday cooking class led by Chef Kyle Ketchum entitled " tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Edward King House. The class is $55 and can be registered for by calling 293-0740.
