EG started off strong in the first inning one with two base hits but Middletown’s pitcher Stew Braman got himself out of an early jam with the help of middle infielders Jacob Hatch and Cam Condry.

At the bottom half of the inning, the bats flared up for the Islanders when Kyle Hassan and Anthony Geer both singled and Stew Braman came around with a two RBI single to left field.
