The results are in from the Aquafina Pitch, Hit & Run Finals at Fenway Park, with one Middletown youth bringing home a Second Place trophy after beating out top New England competitors.

A Middletown teen recently proved his skills are among the best of New England's young baseball players when he took home a Second Place trophy from the Aquafina “Pitch, Hit, & Run” competition held inside Fenway Park in Boston on Saturday June 4.

At the New England Finals, the top three competitors in each age group for both boys and girls from five New England states competed in three events that measured certain skills, including pitching to a strike zone, hitting off a batting tee for distance and accuracy, and timed base running.

Michael Weaver of Newport finished third in the boys 7-8 division and John Agros of Middletown finished second in the boys 13-14 year old. Each received a special plaque from Major League Baseball and watched that afternoon’s marathon Red Sox / Oakland game.
