The Middletown Recreation Department said it is the last call for interested teams for the 2012 Middletown Summer Recreation Softball League. The season begins Tuesday, June 26. There are 16 regular season games plus playoffs.
The league fee is $325 per team plus $25 per game per team to each umpire. The cost is $19 per team if there is only one umpire.
Games will take place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights with game times at 6:15, 7:15 & 8:15 p.m.. All games are played at Pottsy Field at the West Main Road Complex, next door to the .
The Department said they will schedule as many doubleheaders as possible, to cut down the number of nights players will need to travel to the park.
All players must be 18 years of age or older. All players must sign-off on each team’s roster/waiver form before they play their first game.
There will be a mandatory meeting held on Wednesday June 20, 2012 6pm at the Chambers.
A $100 non-refundable deposit is due at the meeting. The remaining $225 balance due by your first game. A representative from each team must attend the meeting.
