Beyond Our Walls(BOW) is an interfaith group of churches, synagogues, and others that seeks to act as a catalyst in the community and beyond. BOW's signature event is the Great Day of Service. Hundreds of volunteers complete short service projects for non-profit organizations in Rhode Island. This year there are 40 worksites in Rhode Island. Volunteers should report to worksites at 9 am and most projects are completed by 1 pm. Registration is online at www.greatdayofservice.com and will be open until October 6. This is a great opportunity to perform some service for your community, meet people from other churches/synagogues, and learn about local non-profit agencies. Community Service hours are available for students. The worksites on Aquidneck Island include:
1. Boys & Girls Club: paint, landscape, organize games
2. Boys Town of NE: light landscape, plant garden
