Infinity Volunteers Holds Second Annual Beach Cleanup

Despite the damp and chilly weather, more than three dozen students and residents scoured the beaches, collecting bags of trash.

Infinity Volunteers sponsored its second annual beach cleanup last Saturday, June 11, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at in Portsmouth, Second Beach in Middletown and Easton’s Beach in Newport.

Despite the damp and chilly weather, more than three dozen students and residents scoured the beaches, collecting bags of trash. 

After the cleanup, all volunteers were invited for a free lunch at on Park Avenue in Portsmouth. Owner Michael Edwards is a generous supporter of Infinity Volunteers, as well as other community initiatives such as and Habitat for Humanity.

Infinity Volunteers is a private, non-profit, 501c(3) organization whose mission is to provide opportunities for students to engage in humanitarian service and to foster a lifelong commitment to helping others through participation in projects which benefit impoverished communities throughout the world.
